Topping-out ceremony for new school building

On Friday, April 11, 2025, representatives of the PflegeFachSchule Hannover (PFSH), Hahne Holding, and the construction companies involved celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the new school building on the Heidehaus site. This event marks a significant milestone in the construction progress of the project, which aims to create urgently needed capacity for nursing training.

In the future, trainees will be trained as generalist nursing professionals in the new school building. In addition, another location is being built in Garbsen-Berenbostel. By expanding the nursing school to two locations, we are responding to the growing demand for qualified nursing staff. A total of around 575 training places are to be created in order to meet the requirements of the labor market and nursing needs.

The PFSH is now a large nursing school in Lower Saxony and trains both nursing professionals and nursing assistants. The new locations will strengthen the training program in the long term and make an important contribution to relieving the burden on the nursing infrastructure.

The topping-out ceremony symbolizes not only the progress made in construction, but also the joint commitment of all those involved to sustainable nursing training. The new premises are scheduled to begin training operations next year, thus making a significant contribution to securing nursing care in the region.
