Theoretical training
Training to become a state-recognised nursing specialist lasts three years and comprises at least 2,400 teaching hours. It ends with a state examination consisting of a practical, written and oral part.
During the training programme, theory and practice alternate in blocks of several weeks. Lessons are organised in learning situations. Learning situations structure the lessons as a thematic unit and represent professional action situations of a nursing specialist.
