Training Programm
Since 01.01.2020, the training courses in geriatric nursing, healthcare and nursing as well as healthcare and paediatric nursing have been combined into one generalised nursing training course.
Hospitals, care homes for the elderly and outpatient care services can be considered as providers of practical training. Other areas of nursing care are covered in compulsory internships during the training programme.

The need for care in Germany will rise sharply in the coming decades. One in four people in Lower Saxony is already over 60 years old, while only one in five is under 18.
According to projections by the Lower Saxony Office for Statistics and Communication, this ratio will have shifted considerably by 2050: There will be twice as many older people as children. You can secure your future by training as a carer or taking part in a qualification programme. Any further training that you can complete after your training with our co-operation partner, the ZAB Hannover, is an investment for the future.
